Hurricane Jimena

Really no new news to share with everyone, but hurricane Jimena is sending some pretty crazy weather my direction. I hope you are all having a lovely storm free Labor Day weekend at Grandma Norma’s house. I still don’t like my job it is just so boring I don’t do anything and I am not exaggerating I really click one button about once an hour while I sit and stare at my blank computer screen and listen to the most awful jazz music for 8 hours it seems like an eternity. MOVING DAY IS TUESDAY!

We signed our lease yesterday and move in on Tuesday. I am not looking forward to moving all of my crap again but it will be worth it. The landlord warned us about the electricity company, she said to watch them very close because they are sneaky assholes, but they are the only ones here. What do you know I tried to set up services online and they said my address didn’t exist so I had to call… I sat on hold for almost an hour, then the guy was helping me and everything was going along smoothly… he said there is a security deposit but it can be waived if you allow me to check your credit and it is ok, so I said sure… he said no problem deposit will be waived… then he said we normally due next business day set up is Monday ok for a hook up, I said sure that is perfect we move in on Tuesday ( this made me very happy because on the website it said they ask 3 business days to do it and I thought I wasn’t going to have power in my new place when I got there) then he proceeds to tell me that on Mondays they charge a deposit no matter what!!!! Is that guy freaking kidding me he knew they would do it Monday why would he ask me if he could check my credit, but that was that I will have electricity and I will watch them like a hawk. Quick update before bed. The first apartment we checked out, well more like drove by, was a bust. It looked so good on the internet but in person very scary, we didn’t even get out of the car so I was super bummed because I thought I loved it on the internet. The second one that I thought looked ghetto online was actually very nice and in a new addition by a mall and a target. All the apartments around here are offering sweet move in deals because they are hurting for business so bad. It has a full size washer and dryer walk in closets in it and a nice community center with a pool (with waterfall and spa) fitness center and free coffee bar. Their deals include no security deposit, and first month free. Not as good as some of the deals the others were offering like 300$ in groceries, free utilities for a year, a free TV, and three months free but I really love this one so I will deal with the no so fabulous specials. I hope all goes well when we turn in the application tomorrow. Love you all goodnight.

Things are looking up

The HR lady at my new job was gone again today but my boss called me early enough this morning that I had time to set up apartment showings for this afternoon! I am super excited I have been waiting for this day since the second I stepped foot into my temporary living arrangements. I am crossing my fingers that everything works out and we are out of here by the weekend. I start my job no matter what tomorrow morning at 8, my boss (Kathy) said she wasn’t going to wait for them anymore (them being their cooperate office where I am supposed to do training and paper work) she said she would just train me herself because she doesn’t like when people mess up her scheduled plans either. Not So Wonderful Day

This week is not really getting off to a good start. Ryan's interview turned out to be a fucked up business to business sales sham so he is really disappointed, and the city of Scottsdale said it would be 4 to 6 weeks before they pick people to interview. So it’s back to his uncle’s office doing bitch work for awhile but he is getting paid $10 an hour to file and fax so we really shouldn’t be complaining that much. Maia’s ear got better for a few days but I check it today and it was awful I feel so bad for her, don’t worry she is getting a lot of bacon. I had a drug screen and background check for my job today, the HR lady was out ill so I have to do my paper work tomorrow if she is back and that pisses me off because now I have nothing to do this afternoon, it is too late to get apartment showings set up for today and since I might have to do paperwork tomorrow I can’t do it then either, I don’t like when people mess up my scheduled plans. Getting an apartment has become a necessity I don’t know how many more days I can stay in the place I am in. We spend most of the time at his aunt house that is nice and has a working pool but today I am stuck where I “live” and I am realizing how much it really blows. Sorry for the rambling and non-lady like talk but I really hope this week turns around! Love you all!

OOOO WONDERFUL DAY

Had my first interview this morning and got officially offered the job this afternoon! It is for an anesthesiology and pain management clinic in Paradise Valley (a small town between Phoenix and Scottsdale). Ryan had his first interview this afternoon and they told him they would call after 7 tonight if they wanted him back for round two and less than an hour after we got home they called and want him back Monday at 10! This job isn’t his first choice but the one he really wants is for the city of Scottsdale and he was told it was a long review process so he probably won’t hear anything back from that for a week or so. All in all a great day! We are going to start looking for apartments in Scottsdale next week. It’s were the rich people live but they all own their own homes so the apartments are pretty cheap but still look amazing!!!!!! The only sad part of today is Maia has a bum ear L it isn’t bothering her but it is droopy and red we got some drops today so hopefully she won’t be droopy for much longer. Love you all, goodnight!

IM BACKKKKK!!!!

Sorry for the long blog delay. I am sure you have all heard I have not been feeling well. Went to a Doctor today she said I was just super dehydrated and gave me some meds stop the barfing so I can get some liquids down and get functional enough to eat. 5 days without food has really taken a toll on my body but hopefully it will get better from here on out. On a better note I went to a temporary job at Ryan’s uncle company it was really lame they just threw us in there and I had no idea what was going on but I guess a job is a job for now. Ryan’s aunt is in the process of getting me in the door at Banner health which is really nice I had applied several times in the past few months but hopefully now with an in I can talk to someone and get things moving.

Done Traveling On Day 3

We left the Ozarks around 8 this morning and arrived in Oklahoma City around 3. I hate the state of Oklahoma their dirt is red and their signs along the interstate are annoying. I mean they are the same signs that Illinois has but under them they say thing like “strictly enforced”, “zero tolerance”, “Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest”, and the worst part about this state is you have to pay to be on almost all of their roads and only some rest areas are free, there are designated “free restroom areas” and every half mile there is an obnoxious sign that says “keep our land grand” ! Anyway I am glad to be at the hotel and relaxing. The Best Western we are at is really nice, time for bed going to try to get to Amarillo TX tomorrow. I have a few pictures to upload but gmail isnt working right now so I will have to update them later. Good night I love you all!

End Of Day 2

Went and got maia from the villa a day early because I missed her and because it was easy enough she could just stay at the same place we are. I am so glad to have her back. Didnt do to much today a little jet skiing and went to like an adult chuckie cheese which was a good time, but this was the best part of the day http://www.downhillruckus.com/. It was a water slide inside a giant ball, we were supposed to get a picture CD of our ride but really we just got a few of when it was over (see above pic). My internet connection is too slow here to upload the other 2 but they dont show how fun it really was! Goodnight love you all

So after a rough start to the trip this morning things are getting much better, but really since my day started at 3:53 AM I didn’t have high hopes for it to work out well. We are in Lake of the Ozarks now, pretty nice place. I have to go to bed right now I feel like death. Good night love you all!

Just The Beginning

First night of blogging... pretty easy, I think I could get into this. Unfortunately I do not have much to write about at the moment. Today is Ryan's birthday; we haven’t done anything special because I had to work all day. I got out of that horrible place on time tonight which rarely happens. I took Maia for a walk and now I am ready to relax. Hopefully I will have more interesting blog stories soon!
